Had a look at the RSS training today. I hadn't heard about it really before now. After reading what it is all about it's helped me to understand it a bit better now. Also i now know what the little orange logo is now when on the net. It's a good way to keep up to date and be alerted about interesting things. I think RSS is a very useful and interesting.

Social networking sites such as myspace and Facebook are a very good internet resource. Not only can you track down old friends you can also use it to see whats happening in and around your area.
While i was having a look on Facebook i found the Brisbane Lions page which gives you information about games. I also found some pages on bands that i like, and on their pages they have information about upcoming shows.
Its great for getting information and very useful. I have found that instead of events/bands/people having personal webpages, they now have a facebook/myspace/twitter page which do the same thing, and are able to update the information regulary and share with friends.
Our library has a facebook which is very useful and a very good idea. It post messages about upcoming events at different libraries which is good advertising for the event.

wiki wiki

Today i did my Licence to Testdrive and was looking at wikis.
Wikis are good websites for the general public to put in any information they know about any subject. I was looking at a wiki about the sunshine coast... Good information on there, especially for people who aren't familar with the coast. Found things about our transport system, national parks, population. Most information seemed accurate. That would be the only off putting thing about using a wiki site. Not knowing if the information is true or not as anyone can add anything. One the whole though you get some relevant and accurate information.

I was playing around on Flickr looking through photos and i came across this one of the Brisbane Lions. I thought i would put in in my blog as they are my favourite team. I had good fun playing around on flickr and found alot of different and interesting photos.

This is a very new concept to me. I have never Blogged before.
I thought it would be similar to social networking sites. But to my amazement... Very different.
Quite a good concept though. Blogging is a good way to get heard by many different people from all over the world.
I look forward to mastering the art of blogging and to see what other people blog about.
